Yes people, trying to get recognition and promote my work on dA makes me feel like a cheap whore! I comment my arse off, I flog my work in the thumbshare forum, I offer comments to anyone and everyone in the thumbshare in the vain hope I'll get a few back in return. Do you know what I get though? Not bloody much!

I think one of the main problems I have is that while I have 57 people watching me, most of them aren't recent sign-ons so the chance of them still being active is much lower. 2008: 2, 2007: 10, 2006: 5, 2005: 18, 2004: 24. I know that I was a lot more active in my early years here, but I've kicked it up a notch in the past few months with few results. I'd like to think that my art has improved at least a little in 4 years, but I guess it's getting lost amongst the huge membership increase.

In other news, I'm getting back into some photography again. You can see that I got a chance to take some nice shots while on holidays on the Sunshine Coast with Benn in Feb.



As a side effect of getting more active I now watch too many people again, I can't get my damn watch list below 300 deviations! I think this has something to do with the fact that I'm trying to comment on each piece that is being submitted.

Lastly, what is the point of replying to people's camments with nothing more than 'Thanks'? I'm logging on and getting excited to see that I actually have a few messages, and most of them are nothing to do with my work or even replying to my comment. I figure that everyone is happy to receive comments, so the thanks is already implicity implied. Maybe I'm just ruder that everyone else here.
